All services directly booked through Ethel’s Cottage are subject to the following terms and conditions. If you have booked through a third party, you will need to contact that agent to check their booking terms and conditions.

Accommodation Booking terms
- Online bookings require full payment with Visa or MasterCard at the time of booking.
- Alternatively, bookings can be made by emailing ask@ethelscottage.com.au or calling us on 0409 679 099.
- 50% deposit is payable at the time of booking and the balance prior to stay.
- Pay by EFT, Visa or MasterCard.
- To secure your booking, we require valid credit card details at the time of reservation, even if you intend to make payment via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). This policy is in place to guarantee your booking and provide a safeguard against late cancellations or incidental charges that may arise during your stay. Please note that your card will not be charged for the accommodation amount if payment is made via EFT. All credit card information is destroyed following the completion of your stay and confirmation that all outstanding balances have been fully settled.
- We are happy to hold a tentative booking (with no payment) for an agreed period of time while you finalise other arrangements. Tentative bookings can only be made directly with us by phone or email.
- Your confirmed booking will be acknowledged by email.
- You are welcome to have visitors during your stay. If they choose to stay overnight, please contact us by phone (0409 679 099) to arrange the required payment.
- Children aged 0-5 years stay free of charge. For the very young, if you would like to borrow a travel cot or highchair, please let us know.
- Pets are not permitted.
Accommodation Cancellations and Changes
- Please notify us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel a tentative or confirmed booking, so we can make these dates available to others.
- It is the responsibility of the client to confirm tentative bookings with payment within the required timeframe, otherwise the booking may be cancelled without notice. No fee applies to cancellation of tentative bookings.
- Any booking changes or cancellations should be made by contacting us on 0409 679 099 directly or by email at ask@ethelscottage.com.au
- Accommodation bookings can be changed or cancelled up to 2 weeks prior to booking commencement date may result in an administration charge of $50.
- We will do our best to help, but in general booking changes are unable to be made less than 5 days before the booking start date.
- Accommodation booking cancellations within 2-14 days of commencement may incur a cancellation charge of 50% of total payment, while bookings cancelled within 2 days of arrival are non-refundable.
Excess cleaning and damages
- We ask you to treat our property with care. It is the guests’ responsibility on departure to leave the cottage tidy and in a respectable condition. If extra cleaning is necessary, a minimum charge of $55 may apply.
- We understand that accidents can happen. Any breakages or damages to goods and property is the guests’ responsibility and may be invoiced to the guest.
